Optoma Genuine Lens WT1 Fixed is an OEM optical accessory for Optoma professional projectors. It is a short-throw lens (Short Throw) with a throw ratio of 0.78:1. Optoma's official compatibility list covers 1 model, so before installation, simply verify the projector model and panel size—no adapter ring workaround is needed. The value of a genuine lens lies not in the extra rows of figures in the specification sheet, but in its factory calibration to the optical path and mount of that projector series: once installed, the image circle, edge illumination, and focusing travel are all at their design values, so there is no need to use keystone correction to compensate for image quality.

1. Lens Specifications
| Brand | Optoma (Optoma) |
| Lens Model | WT1 Fixed |
| Throw Ratio | 0.78:1 |
| Product Type | Short throw (Short Throw) |
| Compatible Models | 1 model |
| Warranty | 12 months; after-sales service applies to damage not caused by the user, subject to the date on the shipping invoice |
The above specifications are subject to the original manufacturer's specifications. For mechanical dimensions, flange distance, and mount type not shown in the specifications table, please contact us with the projector model. Placing an order based solely on a similar model carries the risk that the lens will not fit.
2. Calculating Installation Distance from Throw Ratio
The throw ratio is the ratio of installation distance to image width. This genuine lens is fixed-focus (0.78:1), so the installation distance varies linearly with image size, with no scope for adjustment. It must be measured accurately before installation.
| Image Size | Image Width | Required Installation Distance |
|---|---|---|
| 100 inches | 2.15 m | approx. 1.68 m |
| 120 inches | 2.58 m | approx. 2.01 m |
| 150 inches | 3.22 m | approx. 2.52 m |
| 200 inches | 4.30 m | approx. 3.35 m |
The values above are the clear distance from the front of the lens to the screen and do not include clearance at the rear of the projector for ventilation and cable connections. They are calculated for a 16:10 image; in practice, rely on on-site measurements and the original manufacturer's manual.
3. Compatible Models (1 Model)
The following table is based on the original manufacturer's compatibility list; brightness and resolution are populated from the model database. An em dash (—) is shown where data is unavailable, and no assumptions are made.
| Model | Brightness | Resolution |
|---|---|---|
| EH7700 | 7000 lumens | 1920x1200 |
To check whether a model not included in the list can be used, please send us photos of the projector nameplate and the existing lens for verification. Platforms from the same generation often share the same mount, but ordering based only on a similar model creates risks that are not worth taking.
Throw Ratios by Projector Model Series
The stated throw ratio varies among the following projector series when the same WT1 Fixed lens is installed. Select the value based on the series of the actual projector.
| Model Series | Throw Ratio |
|---|---|
| — | 0.78:1 |
4. Three Checks Before Replacement
- Confirm the projector chip and resolution. The genuine lens is designed for a specific panel size. If the panel specifications differ, the image circle cannot cover the full image, resulting in vignetting or light loss at the edges after installation.
- Calculate the installation distance first. This lens has a rated throw ratio of 0.78:1. Use the table in Section 2 to apply these figures to the dimensions of your installation site. A fixed-focus lens has no adjustment margin, and even a zoom lens requires 10–20 cm of clearance at both ends.
- Verify the mount and locking mechanism. The genuine lens is calibrated to the mount of that projector series, and it must audibly click into the locked position after installation. A skewed image or soft edges are usually caused by incomplete locking, rather than a problem with the lens itself.
If you are unsure, take one photo of each nameplate—the projector and the existing lens—and send them to us. Verification against the actual hardware is the safest approach.
