Barco Genuine Lens EN76 Ultra Wide Angle Zoom is a factory-supplied optical accessory for Barco engineering projectors, featuring a Standard Throw ratio of 0.95-1.30:1. The factory compatibility list covers 13 models. Before installation, simply verify the projector model and panel size—no adapter rings are needed. The value of a genuine lens lies not in the extra figures in a specification sheet, but in its factory calibration to the optical path and mount of that projector series. Once installed, image-circle coverage, edge illumination, and focus travel are all at their designed values, eliminating the need to use keystone correction to mask image-quality issues.

Official specifications prevail. For mechanical dimensions, flange distance, and mount type not shown in the specifications table, please contact us with the exact projector model. Ordering solely because the model designation is similar carries the risk that the lens will not fit.
2. Installation Distance and Throw Ratio
The throw ratio is the ratio of the installation distance to the image width. This genuine zoom lens (0.95-1.30:1) provides a range of installation distances for each image size, and it can focus anywhere within that range.
| Image Size | Image Width | Required Installation Distance |
|---|---|---|
| 100 inches | 2.15 m | approx. 2.04 – 2.79 m |
| 120 inches | 2.58 m | approx. 2.45 – 3.35 m |
| 150 inches | 3.22 m | approx. 3.06 – 4.19 m |
| 200 inches | 4.30 m | approx. 4.08 – 5.59 m |
These distances represent the clear space from the front face of the lens to the screen and do not account for rear housing ventilation or cable-routing space. For a 16:10 image, confirm the actual distance through on-site measurements and in accordance with the factory manual.
Image quality varies at the two ends of the zoom range: toward the near end, the image is brighter and the edges are slightly softer; toward the far end, the edges are sharper and brightness decreases slightly. If site conditions allow, position the lens near the middle of the range. After installation, find the sharpest setting on the focus ring, then fine-tune the lens shift.
3. Compatible Projector Models (13 Models)
The table below is taken from the factory compatibility list. Brightness and resolution are populated from the model database; where a value is unavailable, “—” is shown and no value is estimated.
| Model | Brightness | Resolution |

| Balder CinemaScope | 7000 lumens | 3840x2160 |
| Bragi | 2600 lumens | 3840x2160 |
| Bragi CinemaScope | 2600 lumens | 3840x2160 |
| F400-4K | 5400 lumens | 2560x1600 |
| F400-N4K | 5000 lumens | 4096x2160 |
| FS400-4K | 5400 lumens | 2560x1600 |
| FS400-N4K | 5000 lumens | 4096x2160 |
| Heimdall | 4500 lumens | 4096x2160 |
| Heimdall Cinemascope | 4500 lumens | 4096x2160 |
| Heimdall+ | 4500 lumens | 4096x2160 |
| Heimdall+ Cinemascope | 4500 lumens | 4096x2160 |
| Loki CinemaScope | 12000 lumens | 3840x2160 |
For models not on the list, send us photos of the projector nameplate and existing lens for verification. Platforms of the same generation often share the same mount, but the risk of ordering based only on a similar model designation is not worth it.
Throw Ratios by Model Series
The nominal throw ratio differs when the same EN76 Ultra Wide Angle Zoom is installed on the series listed below, so use the value that applies to the actual projector series.
| Model Series | Throw Ratio |
|---|---|
| — | 0.95-1.30:1 |
4. Three Checks Before Replacement
- Confirm the projector's imaging chip and resolution.Genuine lenses are designed for a specific panel size. If the panel specification differs, the image circle will not cover it, resulting in vignetting or edge illumination loss after installation.
- Calculate the installation distance first. This lens has a rated throw ratio of 0.95-1.30:1. Use the table in Section 2 to calculate the distance for your site. A prime lens provides no adjustment margin, and even with a zoom lens, you should allow an additional 10–20 cm at each end.
- Verify the mount and locking mechanism. The genuine lens is calibrated to the mount of that projector series. After installation, you must hear it click into the locked position. A skewed image or soft edges are usually caused by incomplete locking, not by a problem with the lens itself.
If you are unsure, send us one photo each of the projector nameplate and the nameplate on the existing lens. Verification against the actual hardware is the safest approach.
