2. Converting Throw Ratio to Installation Distance

Throw ratio is the ratio of installation distance to image width. This original lens is fixed-focal (0.50:1), so the installation distance changes linearly with image size and has no adjustment margin — it must be measured accurately before installation.

4. Three Things to Confirm Before Replacement

• Confirm the projector's chip and resolution. The original lens is designed for a specific panel size; with a different panel specification, the image circle cannot cover the screen, resulting in vignetting or edge light loss after installation.
• Calculate the installation distance first. This lens has a nominal throw ratio of 0.50:1; apply it to your venue's dimensions using the table in Section 2. A fixed-focal lens has no margin, and even a zoom lens should leave 10–20 cm at both ends.
• Check the mount and locking. The original lens is calibrated to the mount of that projector series; after installation, you must hear it lock into place. A skewed image or soft edges are usually caused by incomplete locking, not by the lens itself.
