WB065 is a short-throw lens for the 0.65/0.66/0.67 panel platform (Digital Projection), with a 0.74–0.77:1 throw ratio and lens shift. It is compatible with 17 models from one model series. This article presents the lens specifications, installation distances, model compatibility list, and replacement considerations in one place.

Lens shift is this lens's key differentiator. The 70.30% horizontal and 32% vertical shift ranges allow the projector to be installed off the screen's central axis, with lens shift repositioning the image without requiring keystone correction. Keystone correction comes at a cost—each adjustment reduces the effective pixel count and may blur text edges. In professional installations, never use keystone correction when lens shift can resolve the alignment; preserving image quality is essential.
2. Installation Distances Based on Throw Ratio
The throw ratio is the ratio of installation distance to image width. This zoom lens (0.74–0.77:1) provides a range of installation distances for a given image size, and it can focus throughout that range.
| Image Size | Image Width | Required Installation Distance |
|---|---|---|
| 100 inches | 2.15 m | Approx. 1.59 – 1.66 m |
| 120 inches | 2.58 m | Approx. 1.91 – 1.99 m |
| 150 inches | 3.22 m | Approx. 2.39 – 2.48 m |
| 200 inches | 4.30 m | Approx. 3.18 – 3.31 m |
These figures represent the clear distance from the front of the lens to the screen and do not account for rear housing ventilation or cable-management space. They are calculated for a 16:10 aspect ratio; actual values should be verified through on-site measurements and the manual.
Image quality differs at the two ends of the zoom range: toward the short end, the image is brighter and the edges are slightly softer; toward the long end, the edges are sharper and brightness is slightly lower. If the installation site allows, use the midpoint of the range. After installation, find the sharpest setting using the focus ring, then fine-tune the lens shift—adjusting both variables at once makes precise setup difficult.

The zoom ratio is the zoom factor of the model's factory standard lens (upper limit of the factory throw-ratio range ÷ lower limit), not the zoom range of the lens described in this article.
Common Features of These Models
The factory standard lenses for these 17 models generally have throw ratios within 1.22-1.52:1. The 0.74–0.77:1 ratio of the model discussed here effectively changes the focal range, allowing different image sizes from the same projection distance—the direct reason for replacing the lens. It also retains full lens-shift capability, so the image can still be aligned after changing the zoom range.
4. Three Checks Before Replacement
- Confirm that the panel and resolution match. This model is designed for a 0.67-inch panel. Projectors with a different panel size or resolution may produce different projection performance, so the safest approach is to verify the specifications on the chassis nameplate before installation.
- Check the interface and locking mechanism. Interfaces are generally interchangeable within the same platform generation, but the locking-tab positions differ between generations. If the image appears skewed or the edges are not sharp after installation, the lock usually has not fully engaged; this is rarely a problem with the lens itself.
- Account for lens-shift margin in the installation. The shift ranges provide installation flexibility, but edge image quality declines when they are pushed to their limits. Actual use should be kept within 70% of the specified values.
For compatibility with a model not on this list, the safest approach is to send us the chassis nameplate and photos of the original lens for verification. Same-generation platforms often share the same interface, but ordering based solely on a similar model designation is not worth the risk.
