Genuine Barco Lens EN11 Standard Zoom is a genuine optical accessory for Barco engineering projectors. It is a long-throw lens (Long Throw) with a throw ratio of 1.60-2.32:1. The official compatibility list covers 7 projector models; before installation, simply verify the projector model and panel size—no need to resort to adapter rings. The value of a genuine lens lies not in the extra rows it adds to the specification sheet, but in its factory calibration to the optical path and lens mount of the relevant projector series. Once installed, image circle coverage, edge illumination, and focusing travel all meet the design values, eliminating the need to use keystone correction to compensate for image quality.

These specifications are subject to the manufacturer's official specifications. For mechanical dimensions, flange distance, and lens mount type not listed in the specifications table, please contact us with your projector model for verification. Placing an order solely because the model looks similar risks a fitment failure.

2. Calculating Installation Distance from Throw Ratio

The throw ratio is the ratio of the installation distance to the image width. This genuine lens is a zoom lens (1.60-2.32:1), so a given image size corresponds to a range of installation distances. Focus can be achieved at any distance within that range.

Image SizeImage WidthRequired Installation Distance
100 inches2.15 mapprox. 3.44 – 4.99 m
120 inches2.58 mapprox. 4.13 – 5.99 m
150 inches3.22 mapprox. 5.16 – 7.48 m
200 inches4.30 mapprox. 6.88 – 9.98 m

These figures represent the clear distance from the front surface of the lens to the screen and do not include space for rear housing cooling or cabling. Calculated for a 16:10 image; actual distances should be verified through on-site measurements and in accordance with the manufacturer's manual.

Image quality varies at the two ends of the zoom range: at the shorter-throw end, the image is brighter and the edges are slightly softer; at the longer-throw end, the edges are sharper and brightness is slightly lower. Where the venue layout permits, using the middle of the range is recommended. After installation, first find the sharpest setting on the focus ring, then fine-tune the lens shift.

3. Compatible Models (7 Models)

The following table is taken from the official compatibility list. Brightness and resolution values are populated from the model database; unavailable values are shown as “—” and are not estimated.

For compatibility with a model not listed here, send us photos of the projector nameplate and current lens for verification. Platforms from the same generation often share a lens mount, but ordering based on a similar model is not worth the risk.

Throw Ratio by Projector Series

The nominal throw ratio differs among the following projector series when the same EN11 Standard Zoom is used, so select the value that applies to the series of your actual projector.

Projector SeriesThrow Ratio
—1.60-2.32:1

4. Three Checks Before Replacement

  • Confirm the projector's imaging chip and resolution. Genuine lenses are designed for a specific panel size. If the panel specifications differ, the image circle cannot cover the full image, resulting in vignetting or light loss at the edges.
  • Calculate the installation distance first. This lens has a nominal throw ratio of 1.60-2.32:1. Use the table in Section 2 to calculate the distance for your venue. A fixed-focus lens offers no adjustment margin, and even a zoom lens requires 10–20 cm of clearance at both ends.
  • Verify the mount and locking mechanism. Genuine lenses are calibrated to the lens mount of the relevant projector series. After installation, you must hear the lens click into the locked position. A skewed image or soft edges is usually caused by incomplete locking, not by the lens itself.

If you are unsure, take one photo each of the projector nameplate and the existing lens nameplate and send them to us. Verification against the actual hardware is the safest approach.
