Appotronics Original Lens XL110MA Standard Zoom is an original optical accessory for Appotronics engineering projectors. It is a standard-throw lens (Standard Throw) with a throw ratio of 1.14-1.51:1. The manufacturer's compatibility list covers 6 models; before installation, simply check the projector model and panel size—no adapter ring workaround is required. The value of an original lens lies not in the extra figures in the specification table, but in its factory calibration to the optical path and mount of that projector series: when installed, the image circle, edge illumination, and focus travel are all at their designed values, so there is no need to use keystone correction to compensate for image quality.

1. Lens Specifications
| Brand | Appotronics (Appotronics) |
| Lens Model | XL110MA Standard Zoom |
| Throw Ratio | 1.14-1.51:1 |
| Product Type | Standard-throw lens (Standard Throw) |
| Compatible Models | 6 models |
| Warranty | 12 months; damage not caused by the user may be handled through after-sales service, based on the date shown on the shipping documents |
The above specifications are subject to the manufacturer's original specifications. For mechanical dimensions, flange distance, and mount type not shown in the specifications table, please contact us with your projector model for verification. Ordering solely based on a similar model carries the risk that the lens will not fit.
2. Calculating Installation Distance from the Throw Ratio
The throw ratio is the ratio of installation distance to image width. This original lens is a zoom lens (1.14-1.51:1), so a given image size corresponds to a range of distances, and it can focus anywhere within that range during installation.
| Image Size | Image Width | Required Installation Distance |
|---|---|---|
| 100 inches | 2.15 m | approx. 2.45 – 3.25 m |
| 120 inches | 2.58 m | approx. 2.94 – 3.90 m |
| 150 inches | 3.22 m | approx. 3.68 – 4.87 m |
| 200 inches | 4.30 m | approx. 4.90 – 6.49 m |
The distances above are the clear distances from the front of the lens to the projection screen and do not include space behind the projector for cooling and cable connections. They are calculated for a 16:10 image; actual distances are subject to on-site measurements and the manufacturer's manual.
Image quality varies at the two ends of the zoom range: toward the short-throw end, the image is brighter and the edges are slightly softer; toward the long-throw end, the edges are sharper and the brightness is slightly lower. Where the venue allows, the middle of the range is recommended. After installation, find the sharpest position using the focus ring, then fine-tune the lens shift.
3. Compatible Models (6 Models)
The table below is taken from the manufacturer's compatibility list. Brightness and resolution are populated from the model database; unavailable values are shown as —, with no assumptions made.
| Model | Brightness | Resolution |
|---|---|---|
| SK11KAS | — | — |
| SK13KAS | — | — |
| SK15KAS | — | — |
| SU11KAS | — | — |
| SU13KAS | — | — |
| SU15KAS | — | — |
For models not on the list, please send us photos of the projector nameplate and the existing lens for verification—same-generation platforms often share the same mount, but ordering based on a similar model is not worth the risk.
Throw Ratio by Projector Series
The nominal throw ratio differs by projector series when the same XL110MA Standard Zoom is installed on the series listed below. When selecting a lens, use the value for the actual projector series.
| Model Series | Throw Ratio |
|---|---|
| — | 1.14-1.51:1 |
4. Three Checks Before Replacement
- Confirm the projector's imaging chip and resolution. The original lens is designed for a specific panel size. If the panel specifications differ, the image circle cannot cover the panel, resulting in vignetting or light loss at the edges after installation.
- Calculate the installation distance first. This lens has a nominal throw ratio of 1.14-1.51:1. Use the table in Section 2 to calculate the installation distance for your venue. A fixed-focus lens offers no margin; even with a zoom lens, allow 10–20 cm at both ends of the range.
- Check the mount and locking mechanism. The original lens is calibrated to the mount of that projector series, and you must hear it lock into place after installation. A skewed image or soft edges usually indicate that the lens is not fully locked, rather than a problem with the lens itself.
If you are unsure, take one photo of the projector nameplate and one photo of the existing lens nameplate and send them to us. Verification against the actual items is the most reliable approach.
