Eiki AH-E22020 Zoom Standard Throw Projector Lens: Compatible with 12 Models

2026-11-05 13:40:48

Eiki Genuine Lens AH-E22020 Zoom is an OEM optical accessory for Eiki engineering projectors, featuring a Standard Throw lens with a throw ratio of 1.17-1.54:1. The factory compatibility list covers 12 projector models. Before installation, simply verify the projector model and panel size; there is no need to improvise with an adapter ring. The value of an OEM lens lies not in the extra rows of numbers on a specification sheet, but in the fact that it is factory-calibrated to the optical path and lens mount of that projector series. Once installed, the image circle, edge illumination, and focusing travel are all at their design values, eliminating the need to use keystone correction to compensate for image quality.

The above specifications are subject to the official factory specifications. For mechanical dimensions, flange distance, and mount type not shown in the specification sheet, contact us with the exact projector model. Placing an order solely because the model is similar carries the risk that the lens will not fit.

2. Calculating Installation Distance from Throw Ratio

The throw ratio is the ratio of the installation distance to the image width. This OEM lens is a zoom lens (1.17-1.54:1), so a given image size corresponds to a range of installation distances. It can focus at any position within that range.

Image SizeImage WidthRequired Installation Distance
100 inches2.15 mapprox. 2.52 – 3.31 m
120 inches2.58 mapprox. 3.02 – 3.97 m
150 inches3.22 mapprox. 3.77 – 4.97 m
200 inches4.30 mapprox. 5.03 – 6.62 m

These figures represent the clear distance from the front element of the lens to the screen and do not allow for ventilation and cabling space at the rear of the projector. They are calculated for a 16:10 aspect ratio; actual distances should be verified on site and against the manufacturer's manual.

Image quality differs at the two ends of the zoom range: toward the short end, the image is brighter and the edges are slightly softer; toward the long end, the edges are sharper and brightness decreases slightly. When the venue allows, use the middle of the range. After installation, first find the sharpest setting on the focus ring, then fine-tune the lens shift.

The following table is taken from the factory compatibility list. Brightness and resolution are populated from the projector model database; where the data is unavailable, “—” is shown, and no values are estimated.

For compatibility confirmation on a model outside the list, send us photos of the projector nameplate and the existing lens. Platforms of the same generation often share the same mount, but taking that risk by ordering based on a similar model is not worthwhile.

Throw Ratios for Different Model Series

The nominal throw ratio of the same AH-E22020 Zoom varies across the series listed below; choose the value based on the series of the projector in use.

4. Three Checks Before Replacement

  • Confirm the projector's imaging chip and resolution. OEM lenses are designed for a specific panel size. If the panel specifications differ, the image circle cannot cover the full image, resulting in vignetting or edge light loss after installation.
  • Calculate the installation distance first. This lens has a rated throw ratio of 1.17-1.54:1. Use the table in Section 2 to calculate the distance for your venue. A fixed-focus lens has no throw-ratio adjustment margin, and even a zoom lens should have 10–20 cm of clearance at both ends of the range.
  • Check the mount and locking mechanism. The OEM lens is calibrated to the mount used on that projector series, and you must hear it lock securely into place after installation. A skewed image or soft edges are usually caused by incomplete locking rather than a problem with the lens itself.

If you are unsure, take one photo of the projector nameplate and one of the existing lens nameplate, then send them to us. Comparing the actual equipment is the safest approach.
