Sharp Genuine Lens XP-60ZL Standard Zoom is a genuine optical accessory for Sharp business projectors. It offers a standard throw ratio of 1.05-1.41:1. The official compatibility list covers 4 models; before installation, simply verify the projector model and panel size, with no need to resort to adapter rings. The value of a genuine lens lies not in the extra figures it adds to the specification sheet, but in the fact that it is calibrated at the factory to the optical path and lens mount of the relevant model series. Once installed, its image circle, edge illumination, and focusing travel all meet the intended design values, with no need to compensate for image quality using keystone correction.

1. Lens Specifications
| Brand | Sharp (Sharp) |
| Lens Model | XP-60ZL Standard Zoom |
| Throw Ratio | 1.05-1.41:1 |
| Product Type | Standard Throw |
| Compatible Models | 4 models |
| Warranty | 12 months; damage not attributable to the user is eligible for after-sales service, subject to the date shown on the sales receipt |
The above specifications are based on the original manufacturer's specifications. For mechanical dimensions, flange distance, and lens mount type not shown in the specifications table, please contact us with the projector model. Ordering based solely on a similar model carries the risk that the lens will not fit.
2. Throw Ratio and Installation Distance
The throw ratio is the ratio of the installation distance to the image width. This genuine zoom lens (1.05-1.41:1) maps a given image size to a range of distances and can focus anywhere within that range when installed.
| Image Size | Image Width | Required Installation Distance |
|---|---|---|
| 100 inches | 2.15 m | Approx. 2.26 – 3.03 m |
| 120 inches | 2.58 m | Approx. 2.71 – 3.64 m |
| 150 inches | 3.22 m | Approx. 3.39 – 4.55 m |
| 200 inches | 4.30 m | Approx. 4.51 – 6.06 m |
These figures represent the clear distance from the front surface of the lens to the projection screen and do not allow for rear projector ventilation or cable-management space. They are calculated for a 16:10 image; the actual values should follow on-site measurements and the manufacturer's manual.
Image quality differs at the two ends of the zoom range: toward the near end, the image is brighter and the edges are slightly softer; toward the far end, the edges are sharper and brightness is slightly lower. When site conditions allow, use the middle of the range. After installation, find the sharpest setting on the focus ring, then fine-tune the lens shift.
3. Compatible Models (4 Models)
The table below is taken from the official compatibility list. Brightness and resolution are populated from the model database; where the data is unavailable, “—” is shown and no values are estimated.
| Model | Brightness | Resolution |
|---|---|---|
| XP-X141Q-B | 13500 lumens | 3840x2400 |
| XP-X141Q-W | 13500 lumens | 3840x2400 |
| XP-X171Q-B | 16500 lumens | 3840x2400 |
| XP-X171Q-W | 16500 lumens | 3840x2400 |
To check whether a model outside the list is compatible, send us photos of the projector nameplate and the existing lens. Platforms from the same generation often share a lens mount, but the risk of ordering based on a similar model is not worth taking.
Throw Ratio by Model Series
The rated throw ratio varies by series when the same XP-60ZL Standard Zoom is installed. When selecting a lens, use the value for the series of the actual projector.
| Model Series | Throw Ratio |
|---|---|
| — | 1.05-1.41:1 |
4. Three Checks Before Replacement
- Confirm the projector chip and resolution. Genuine lenses are designed for specific panel sizes. If the panel specifications differ, the image circle cannot cover the full image, resulting in vignetting or light loss at the edges.
- Calculate the installation distance first. This lens has a rated throw ratio of 1.05-1.41:1. Use the table in Section 2 to calculate the distance for your site. A fixed-focus lens offers no margin, and even a zoom lens requires an additional 10–20 cm of clearance at both ends of the range.
- Verify the lens mount and locking mechanism. The genuine lens is calibrated to the lens mount of the relevant projector series, and you must hear it lock into place after installation. A skewed image or soft edges are usually caused by incomplete locking, not by a problem with the lens itself.
If you are unsure, take one photo of the projector nameplate and one of the existing lens nameplate, then send them to us. Verification against the actual products is the most reliable approach.
