Barco Genuine EN68 Ultra Short Fixed Lens is an original optical accessory for Barco engineering projectors. It is an ultra short throw lens (Ultra Short Throw) with a throw ratio of 0.30:1. The factory compatibility list covers 22 models. Before installation, simply verify the projector model and panel size; no adapter ring is needed. The value of a genuine lens lies not in the additional specifications, but in its factory calibration to the optical path and mount of the corresponding projector series. Once installed, the image circle, edge illumination, and focusing travel are all at their design values, with no need to use keystone correction to compensate for image quality.

1. Lens Specifications
| Brand | Barco (Barco) |
| Lens Model | EN68 Ultra Short Fixed |
| Throw Ratio | 0.30:1 |
| Product Type | Ultra Short Throw |
| Compatible Models | 22 models |
| Warranty | 12 months; after-sales service applies to damage not caused by the user, based on the date on the shipping invoice |
The above specifications are subject to the manufacturer's official specifications. For mechanical dimensions, flange distance, and mount type not shown in the specifications table, please verify them with us using the projector model. Ordering based solely on a similar model carries the risk that the lens will not fit.
2. Converting Throw Ratio into Installation Distance
The throw ratio is the ratio of the installation distance to the image width. This genuine lens has a fixed focal length (0.30:1), so the installation distance changes linearly with the image size, with no adjustment margin. Accurate measurements are essential before installation.
| Image Size | Image Width | Required Installation Distance |
|---|---|---|
| 100 inches | 2.15 m | approx. 0.64 m |
| 120 inches | 2.58 m | approx. 0.77 m |
| 150 inches | 3.22 m | approx. 0.97 m |
| 200 inches | 4.30 m | approx. 1.29 m |
These figures represent the clear distance from the front of the lens to the screen and do not include the space required for rear projector cooling and cabling. Calculated for a 16:10 image, the actual distance should be confirmed through on-site measurement and the manufacturer's manual.
3. Compatible Models (22 models)
The following table is taken from the factory compatibility list. Brightness and resolution values have been populated from the model database; entries that could not be verified are marked with an em dash (—), and no assumptions have been made.

To verify whether a model not listed here is compatible, send us photographs of the projector nameplate and the existing lens. Projector platforms of the same generation often share the same mount, but placing an order based solely on a similar model is not worth the risk.
Throw Ratio by Projector Series
The nominal throw ratio varies by projector series when the same EN68 Ultra Short Fixed lens is used. Select the value according to the series of the projector in use.
| Projector Series | Throw Ratio |
|---|---|
| — | 0.30:1 |
4. Three Checks Before Replacement
- Confirm the projector panel and resolution. The original lens is designed for a specific panel size. If the panel specifications differ, the image circle cannot cover the full image, resulting in vignetting or edge light loss after installation.
- Calculate the installation distance first. This lens has a nominal throw ratio of 0.30:1. Use the table in Section 2 to calculate the distance for your installation site. A fixed-focus lens has no adjustment margin, while a zoom lens requires an additional 10–20 cm at both ends.
- Verify the mount and locking mechanism. The original lens is calibrated to the mount of the corresponding projector series. After installation, you must hear it lock into place. An skewed image or unclear edges are usually caused by incomplete locking rather than a problem with the lens itself.
If you are unsure, send us one photograph of the projector nameplate and one of the existing lens nameplate. Verification against the actual hardware is the most reliable approach.
