Genuine Christie Lens 118-100113-02 ILS1 Zoom is an OEM optical accessory for Christie engineering projectors. It is a long-throw lens with a throw ratio of 1.80-2.60:1. The factory compatibility list covers 3 models. Before installation, simply verify the projector model and panel size—no adapter ring is needed. The value of a genuine lens lies not in the additional figures in a specification sheet, but in the fact that it is calibrated at the factory to the optical path and lens mount of that projector series. Once installed, the image circle, edge illumination, and focus travel all meet their design values, eliminating the need to use keystone correction to compensate for image quality.

I. Lens Specifications

| Throw Ratio | 1.80-2.60:1 |
| Product Type | Long Throw (Long Throw) |
| Compatible Models | 3 models |
| Warranty | 12 months; for damage not caused by the user, after-sales service is available, based on the date on the shipping documents |
Factory specifications take precedence. Mechanical dimensions, flange distance, and mount type are not shown in the specification table; please provide your projector model so we can verify them. Ordering based solely on a similar model carries the risk that the lens will not fit.
II. Calculating Installation Distance from the Throw Ratio
The throw ratio is the ratio of the installation distance to the image width. This genuine lens has a zoom range of 1.80-2.60:1, so a given image size corresponds to a range of distances. The lens can focus at any distance within that range during installation.
| Screen Size | Image Width | Required Installation Distance |
|---|---|---|
| 100 inches | 2.15 m | approx. 3.87 – 5.59 m |
| 120 inches | 2.58 m | approx. 4.64 – 6.71 m |
| 150 inches | 3.22 m | approx. 5.80 – 8.38 m |
| 200 inches | 4.30 m | approx. 7.74 – 11.18 m |
These distances represent the clear distance from the front of the lens to the screen and do not include space for rear projector cooling or cable connections. These figures are based on a 16:10 image; actual distances should be verified on site and according to the factory manual.
Image quality differs at the two ends of the zoom range: the image is brighter and the edges slightly softer near the short end, while the edges are sharper and brightness is slightly lower near the long end. Where the venue allows, we recommend using the middle of the range. After installation, first find the sharpest position on the focus ring, and then fine-tune the lens shift.
III. Compatible Models (3 Models)
The following table is taken from the factory compatibility list. Brightness and resolution are populated from the model database; values that cannot be obtained are marked as «—» without speculation.
| Model | Brightness | Resolution |
|---|---|---|
| M 4K+25 RGB | — | — |
| M 4K15 RGB | — | — |
| M 4K25 RGB | — | — |
To check whether a model outside the list is compatible, send us a photo of the projector nameplate and the existing lens. Platforms from the same generation often share a lens mount, but the risk of ordering based on a similar model is not worth taking.
Throw Ratios by Model Series
The nominal throw ratio varies by series when the same 118-100113-02 ILS1 Zoom lens is installed on the following series. Select the value according to the series of your actual projector.
| Model Series | Throw Ratio |
|---|---|
| — | 1.80-2.60:1 |
IV. Three Checks Before Replacement
- Confirm the projector imaging chip and resolution. The genuine lens is designed for a specific panel size. If the panel specifications differ, the image circle cannot cover the full image area, resulting in vignetting or edge light loss after installation.
- Calculate the installation distance first. This lens has a nominal throw ratio of 1.80-2.60:1. Use the table in Section II to determine the distance for your venue. Fixed-focus lenses offer no adjustment margin, while zoom lenses require an additional 10–20 cm of allowance at both ends.
- Verify the lens mount and locking mechanism. The genuine lens is calibrated to the lens mount of that projector series, and you must hear it lock securely into place after installation. A skewed image and soft edges are usually caused by incomplete locking rather than a problem with the lens itself.
If you are unsure, send us one photo each of the projector nameplate and the existing lens nameplate. Verification against the actual hardware is the most reliable approach.
