Barco OEM Lens EN62 FLDX Wide Fixed is an OEM optical accessory for Barco engineering projectors. It is a short-throw lens with a 0.80:1 throw ratio. The manufacturer's compatibility list covers 3 models; before installation, simply verify the projector model and panel size—no need to make do with adapter rings. The value of an OEM lens lies not in the extra rows of specifications, but in the fact that it is calibrated at the factory to the optical path and mount of that model series: once installed, the image circle, edge illumination, and focusing travel are all at their design values, so there is no need to use keystone correction to compensate for image quality.

I. Lens Specifications
| Brand | Barco (Barco) |
| Lens Model | EN62 FLDX Wide Fixed |
| Throw Ratio | 0.80:1 |
| Product Type | Short-throw (Short Throw) |
| Compatible Models | 3 units |
| Warranty | 12 months; damage not caused by the user may be handled through after-sales service, subject to the date on the shipping documents |
These specifications are subject to the manufacturer's official specifications. Mechanical dimensions, flange distance, and mount type are not shown in the specifications table; please verify them with us based on the projector model. Ordering directly based on a similar model carries the risk that the lens will not fit.
II. Converting Throw Ratio to Installation Distance
The throw ratio is the ratio of the installation distance to the image width. This OEM lens has a fixed focus (0.80:1), so the installation distance varies linearly with the image size, with no adjustment margin. Accurate measurements are required before installation.
| Image Size | Image Width | Required Installation Distance |
|---|---|---|
| 100 inches | 2.15 m | approx. 1.72 m |
| 120 inches | 2.58 m | approx. 2.06 m |
| 150 inches | 3.22 m | approx. 2.58 m |
| 200 inches | 4.30 m | approx. 3.44 m |
These are the clear distances from the lens front surface to the screen, excluding space for rear chassis ventilation and cable connections. They are calculated for a 16:10 image format; actual distances are subject to on-site measurement and the manufacturer's manual.
III. Compatible Models (3 Units)
The table below is taken from the manufacturer's compatibility list. Brightness and resolution are populated from the model database; unavailable data is marked "—", with no assumptions made.
| Model | Brightness | Resolution |
|---|---|---|
| F400-4K | 5400 lumens | 2560x1600 |
| F400-N4K | 5000 lumens | 4096x2160 |
| FS400-N4K | 5000 lumens | 4096x2160 |
To check whether a model outside the list is compatible, send us photos of the projector nameplate and the existing lens—platforms of the same generation often share the same mount, but ordering based on a similar model name is not worth the risk.
Throw Ratios Across Model Series
The rated throw ratio varies when the same EN62 FLDX Wide Fixed is installed on the series listed below. Select the value based on the series of the actual projector.
| Model Series | Throw Ratio |
|---|---|
| — | 0.80:1 |
IV. Three Checks Before Replacement
- Confirm the projector's imaging chip and resolution. OEM lenses are designed for a specific panel size. If the panel specifications differ, the image circle cannot cover the full image, resulting in vignetting or edge light loss after installation.
- Calculate the installation distance first. This lens has a rated throw ratio of 0.80:1. Apply the table in Section II to your venue's screen dimensions; a fixed-focus lens offers no adjustment margin, and even a zoom lens requires 10–20 cm of extra clearance at both ends.
- Verify the mount and locking mechanism. The OEM lens is calibrated to the mount of the projector series, and you must hear it click into the locked position after installation. A skewed image or blurred edges are most often caused by incomplete locking, not by a fault in the lens itself.
If you are unsure, send us one photo of the projector nameplate and one photo of the existing lens nameplate. Checking against the actual units is the safest approach.
