Barco Genuine Lens EN16 Extra Long Zoom is an OEM optical accessory for Barco professional projectors. It is a long-throw (Long Throw) lens with a throw ratio of 3.80-6.50:1. The OEM model compatibility list covers 5 models. Before installation, simply verify compatibility against the projector model and panel size; there is no need to resort to adapter rings as a workaround. The value of a genuine lens lies not in the extra specifications it adds to a datasheet, but in its factory calibration to the optical path and mount of the corresponding model series. Once installed, the image circle, edge illumination, and focusing travel all meet their design values, so there is no need to use keystone correction to compensate for image quality.

I. Lens Specifications
| Brand | Barco (Barco) |
| Lens Model | EN16 Extra Long Zoom |
| Throw Ratio | 3.80-6.50:1 |
| Product Type | Long Throw |

The above specifications are subject to the OEM specifications. For mechanical dimensions, flange distance, and mount type not shown in the specifications table, please contact us with the exact projector model for verification. Placing an order solely because a model appears similar carries the risk that the lens will not fit.
II. Calculating Installation Distance from Throw Ratio
The throw ratio is the ratio of the installation distance to the image width. This genuine lens is a zoom lens (3.80-6.50:1), so a given image size corresponds to a range of distances. When installed within this range, it can focus at any position.
| Image Size | Image Width | Required Installation Distance |
|---|---|---|
| 100 inches | 2.15 m | approx. 8.17 – 13.97 m |
| 120 inches | 2.58 m | approx. 9.80 – 16.77 m |
| 150 inches | 3.22 m | approx. 12.25 – 20.96 m |
| 200 inches | 4.30 m | approx. 16.34 – 27.95 m |
The distances above are clear distances from the front surface of the lens to the screen and do not include clearance for ventilation and cabling behind the projector. They are calculated for a 16:10 image; actual distances must be verified through on-site measurements and in accordance with the OEM manual.
Image performance differs at the two ends of the zoom range: at the near end, the image is brighter and the edges are slightly softer; at the far end, the edges are sharper and brightness is slightly lower. Where the installation space permits, use a position near the middle of the range. After installation, find the sharpest position using the focus ring, then fine-tune the lens shift.
III. Compatible Models (5 Projectors)
The table below is based on the OEM model compatibility list. Brightness and resolution are taken from the model database; where data are unavailable, “—” is shown rather than estimated.
| Model | Brightness | Resolution |
|---|---|---|
| CNHD-81B | 7500 lumens | 1920x1080 |
| F70-W6 | 5900 lumens | 1920x1200 |
| F70-W8 | — | 1920x1200 |
| F90-W13 | — | 1920x1200 |
| FS70-W6 | 5900 lumens | 1920x1200 |
To check whether a model not on the list can be used, send us a photo of the projector nameplate and the current lens for verification. Platforms from the same generation often share the same mount, but ordering based on a similar model is not worth the risk.
Throw Ratio by Model Series
The nominal throw ratio of the same EN16 Extra Long Zoom lens varies by model series. When selecting a lens, use the value for the series of the actual projector.
| Model Series | Throw Ratio |
|---|---|
| — | 3.80-6.50:1 |
IV. Three Checks Before Replacement
- Confirm the projector panel and resolution. Genuine lenses are designed for a specific panel size. If the panel specifications differ, the image circle cannot cover the full image, resulting in vignetting or edge light loss once installed.
- Calculate the installation distance first. This lens has a nominal throw ratio of 3.80-6.50:1. Use the table in Section II to calculate the installation distance for your venue. Even a fixed-focus lens leaves no margin for adjustment, and a zoom lens still requires 10–20 cm of clearance at both ends.
- Verify the mount and locking mechanism. Genuine lenses are calibrated to the mount of the corresponding model series. After installation, you must hear the lens click into the locked position. A skewed image or soft edges are usually caused by incomplete locking, not by the lens itself.
If you are unsure, take one photo of the projector nameplate and one of the existing lens nameplate, then send them to us for verification. Matching the physical hardware is the safest approach.
