Barco Original Lens EN15 Wide Fixed is an original optical accessory for Barco engineering projectors. It is a standard-throw lens (Standard Throw) with a 1.16:1 throw ratio. The official compatibility list covers 6 models; before installation, simply verify the projector model and panel size, with no need for adapter rings. The value of an OEM lens lies not in the extra figures on a specification sheet, but in its factory calibration to the optical path and mount of the relevant projector series. Once installed, the image circle, edge illumination, and focusing travel all match the design values, eliminating the need to compensate for image quality with keystone correction.

1. Lens Specifications
| Brand | Barco (Barco) |
| Lens Model | EN15 Wide Fixed |
| Throw Ratio | 1.16:1 |
| Product Type | Standard throw (Standard Throw) |
| Compatible Models | 6 models |
| Warranty | 12 months; non-accidental damage is eligible for after-sales service, subject to the date on the shipping invoice |
The above specifications are subject to the manufacturer's official specifications. For mechanical dimensions, flange distance, and mount type not shown in the specifications table, please verify the projector model with us. Ordering based only on a similar model may result in a lens that does not fit.
2. Calculating Installation Distance from the Throw Ratio
The throw ratio is the ratio of the installation distance to the image width. This OEM lens is fixed-focus (1.16:1), so the installation distance varies linearly with image size and offers no adjustment margin. Accurate measurements are essential before installation.
| Image Size | Image Width | Required Installation Distance |
|---|---|---|
| 100 inches | 2.15 m | Approx. 2.49 m |
| 120 inches | 2.58 m | Approx. 2.99 m |
| 150 inches | 3.22 m | Approx. 3.74 m |
| 200 inches | 4.30 m | Approx. 4.99 m |
These figures represent the clear distance from the front surface of the lens to the screen and do not include space behind the projector for cooling and cable connections. They are calculated for a 16:10 image; actual values are subject to on-site measurements and the manufacturer's manual.
3. Compatible Models (6 Models)
The following table is taken from the official compatibility list. Brightness and resolution values are populated from the model database; unavailable values are marked “—” and have not been estimated.
| Model | Brightness | Resolution |
|---|---|---|
| CNHD-81B | 7500 lumens | 1920x1080 |
| CNWU-81B | 7650 lumens | 1920x1200 |
| F70-W6 | 5900 lumens | 1920x1200 |
| F70-W8 | — | 1920x1200 |
| F90-W13 | — | 1920x1200 |
| FS70-W6 | 5900 lumens | 1920x1200 |
To verify whether a model not listed can be used, please send us a photo of the projector nameplate and the current lens. Same-generation platforms often share the same mount, but the risk of ordering based only on a similar model is not worth taking.
Throw Ratios by Model Series
Although the same EN15 Wide Fixed lens is used with the series listed below, the nominal throw ratio varies. Select the value based on the series of the actual projector.
| Model Series | Throw Ratio |
|---|---|
| — | 1.16:1 |
4. Three Checks Before Replacement
- Confirm the projector chip and resolution. OEM lenses are designed for a specific panel size. If the panel specifications differ, the image circle cannot cover the full image, resulting in vignetting or edge light loss after installation.
- Calculate the installation distance first. This lens has a nominal throw ratio of 1.16:1. Use the table in Section 2 to calculate the distance for your installation site. A fixed-focus lens offers no adjustment margin; even with a zoom lens, allow 10–20 cm at both ends.
- Verify the mount and locking mechanism. The OEM lens is calibrated to the mount of that projector series, and you must hear the lock click into place after installation. A skewed image or soft edges are usually caused by the lock not being fully engaged, not by the lens itself.
If you are unsure, take one photo of the projector nameplate and one of the current lens nameplate, then send them to us. Verification against the actual hardware is the safest approach.
